Just bought a 79 lil red. 63000 miles needs restoring but driveable with no rust. Where can I find a dash pad and glove box? Will make saftey changes. (THANKS) my son will be driving it to school next year. Any help with locating where to find parts would be appreciated. Thanks again!

How many gallons does the 78 Gas tank hold? I replaced the sending unit and the gauge said there was 1/4 left. Went to refill and it only took 6 gallons. Probably the gauge is failing... what do you think?

Great site! I too have a 79 LRE that I bought while in the Air Force (stationed in South Dakota) back in 1991. I am the 3rd owner and am about to have my dad and son help me on the restoration. Thanks also for the links to find stickers, steering box bracket, and ammeter warning. My ammeter just started jumping from the turn signal recently. I know now what could happen next. You just saved my baby! Thanks a million.

Hi John...Greeting from Texas. My folks bouight my first brand new lil red on September 7, 1978. I had it for 22 years until a freind rolled it several times, and broke my heart. I just bought a replacement that is over 90% original, including the paint. I can't wait to get her restored and show ready...there were many high school memories in that truck...maybe just want to relive a few! Great Site...I will join in soon. Thanks
